Nevel B. V.

Beers that don’t shout, but have a lot to tell - local and natural.

Nevel is located in Nijmegen, a small city in the east of the Netherlands with a strong craft beer tradition. The brewery focuses exclusively on wild fermentation, creating carefully balanced beers that do not shout but have a lot to tell. A distinct character with challenging flavours, but also refreshing, sessionable and low in ABV. Nevel is working closely with local suppliers to harvest organic herbs, fruits, tree bark and even vegetables for their brews. To the owners Mattias Terpstra and Vincent Gerritsen, brewing is more than just making beer; it’s the road to a new balance.
Gruitbeers
Nevels way to brew gruitbeer is called "Alm". They brew more beers with herbs, but this one they regard as their real gruitbeer. It´s a wild blonde ale with forgotten herbs. Herbal, dry, mildly bitter beer with citrus notes. Alm is inspired by the saison, a traditional Belgian harvest ale.
